Bidding and balloting has come to an end, failing to get EC4101 and went with EC4102 instead. Prof. Hashmi of EC4102 is by far the best lecturer I have ever encountered in my university life with the only other comparable one being Prof Victor Tan from MA1100 2 years ago. Glad to do EC4102 under him despite his reputation of setting overly challenging exam questions haha. Decided to forego EC3551 for this semester because of my extremely heavy dance commitments, hopefully I'll get the chance to do it in the future! Another module I'm taking is DSC3215, my first ever business module. An application of MA3238 and a good enough substitute since MA3238 has timetable clashes. I've always wanted to learn stochastic modelling, so this is a great choice and I can S/U it! EC3332 is pretty much memory work so far, not as interesting as I expect as of now, but I think I will like the monetary theories coming up in the next half more! EC3322 is like chill, way too chill and hence I expect stiff competition in the module (even the bidding is so damn competitve lol). Dean's List, HERE I COME!
SUAD practices have been going well, pushing all of us to surpass ourselves in many physical aspects. EHDP preparation have started. Feeling the immense pressure to set the standard for finale as we are venturing into unfamiliar territories in terms of concept and style. Hope everything will turn out better than the expectations on us.
Work has become a time to take a breather between my hectic academic and dance schedule. That one or two shifts per week becomes a time when I can give myself a legit excuse to push all everything else aside and really focus on serving the customers with the wide smile, hopefully making their day a better one! And of course, practicing basic latte arts again for the sake of self-fulfillment! This weekend has been a busy one, with 20 dancers from Blast!, D-Hops, MJ and E-mix combining to put up a show for NTUC KiteFest @ Marina Promontory. The journey wasn't easy despite the easy choreography. The rehearsals and practices time frame was so short that I probably have 8 hours of practices and runs before we hit the stage! Not to mention on-site issue such as little kids running into the flashmob area and we have to avoid them while we dance with a wide smile! 4 more shows to go!
This 2 weeks is only the start, and I can already foresee the level of self-discipline required to balance everything. However, I also believe that this semester is a journey of self-fulfillment, and I will learn a lot more than the previous semester by pushing myself to the limit and beyond! Peace out.
